Arterial blood gas analysis plays an indispensable role in the assessment and management of patients with a huge range of acute medical and surgical problems. Its importance as a
key tool in the work-up of acutely unwell patients rivals that of the ECG and the chest x-ray. This book covers all aspects of the arterial blood gas in a simple, user-friendly

AssayFinder.com was developed by AssayFinder Ltd and The CSW Group in 1998, having been instigated and sponsored by the Association of Clinical Biochemists, and
latterly by the British In Vitro Diagnostics Association.
By 2002, the original site was struggling to cope with the volumes of traffic and had proved there was a growing need for our services. So, we designed a new,
more efficient database structure and then re-wrote the site 'from scratch' using the power of 'open standards technologies' working in concert within an 'open
modular architecture'(this means that our service is now flexible, and can continue to grow and improve).
In order to expand the service for our providers and their clients we now have sponsors who may use the site to communicate matters of interest on an ongoing
basis, and provide the financial support for the site.

Blodprøver er en bog, der i et klart og direkte sprog beskriver anvendelse, baggrund og tolkning af de almindeligste anvendte blodprøver.
Bogen er inddelt i tre dele: praktisk blodprøvetagning, en alfabetisk opslagsdel samt en del der behandler udvalgte organprøver og prøvesamlinger.

Håndbog i blodprøver er en opslagsbog, der nemt og hurtigt kan bruges til at koble blodprøveværdier og symptomer sammen. Bogen hjælper desuden med at tolke værdierne fra en
blodprøve. Bogen introducerer til prøvetyper og hvordan bogen kan bruges. Herefter følger beskrivelser af de enkelte blodprøver, blandt andet hvad en blodprøve kan vise noget om,
normalværdier for blodet og en årsags- og symptomoversigt, som kan hjælpe med at forklare unormale værdier. Bogen indeholder endvidere en liste af punkter som man bør have særlig

KPLL - Københavns Praktiserende Lægers Laboratorium
Københavns Praktiserende Lægers Laboratorium (KPLL) er en selvejende institution, ledet af praktiserende læger.
KPLL blev oprindelig stiftet i 1922 af Københavns Praktiserende Læger med det formål at sikre lægerne de bedste muligheder for diagnostik og behandling af deres patienter.
Siden 1994 har KPLL været drevet i et samarbejde med Københavns Kommune, Københavns Amt og lægerne i de to områder.
Laboratoriet betjener lægerne med en bred vifte af blodanalyser, klinisk fysiologiske undersøgelser og hjerteundersøgelser. Laboratoriets analyseudvalg er skræddersyet til lægerne i
primærsektoren og undergår stadig fornyelser inspireret af de praktiserende lægers ønske om at diagnosticere og behandle deres patienter bedst og hurtigst muligt.
For at give patienterne den bedst mulige adgang til blodprøvetagning er oprettet 9 filialer i Københavns Amt ud over hovedafdelingen i Pilestræde i hjertet af København.
Ved behov foretages blodprøvetagning og EKG optagelser også i patienternes hjem og på plejehjem ligesom der modtages en stor mængde prøver udtaget hos de praktiserende læger.
KPLL har altid haft store krav til kvalitet og er i september 2001 blevet DANAK-akkrediteret på sine analyser og undersøgelser efter standarden ISO 17025.
