Carranza, Christian Lildal: Kompendium
Disse noter skrev jeg til den amerikanske bog "Ophtalmology". Noterne blev IKKE færdige, men der er et par gode kapitler, som jeg tror, at man kan få glæde af.
"Clinical Anatomy of the Eye", Wiley-Blackwell
Clinical Anatomy of the Eye has proved to be a very popular textbook for ophthalmologists and optometrists in training all over the world. The objective of the book is to provide
the reader with the basic knowledge of anatomy necessary to practice ophthalmology. It is recognised that this medical speciality requires a detailed knowledge of the eyeball and
the surrounding structures. The specialist's knowledge should include not only gross anatomic features and their development, but also the microscopic anatomy of the eyeball and
the ocular appendages. The nerve and blood supply to the orbit, the autonomic innervation of the orbital structures, the visual pathway, and associated visual reflexes should
receive great emphasis. The practical application of anatomic facts to ophthalmology has been emphasised throughout this book in the form of Clinical Notes in each chapter.
Clinical problems requiring anatomic knowledge for their solution are presented at the end of each chapter. Illustrations are kept simple and overview drawings of the distribution
of the cranial and autonomic nerves have been included.
"Clinical Ophthalmology: A Synopsis, 2nd Edition", Butterworth-Heinemann
Revised and expanded throughout with many new colour illustrations, this handbook forms a summary of Jack Kanski’s best selling Clinical Ophthalmology: A Systematic Approach 6th
Edition. This book will be of particular value as a revision guide to those preparing for examinations, as well as the busy clinician requiring a quick reference to a particular
diagnostic or therapeutic problem. Illustrated in colour, each condition is systematically presented for easy access to key information.
"Clinical Optics", wiley-Blackwell
Written to help trainee ophthalmologists, this textbook is now the recognised text on optics for the examinations of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and the Royal Surgical
Colleges. It approaches the subject from first principles and assumes no previous knowledge of optics.
The book has been kept as simple as possible and is liberally complemented with diagrams designed to be easily understood and memorised. Only the most fundamental and clinically
useful mathematical formulae are quoted, and the optical principles are applied to clinical situations.
Ophthalmology examinations have changed substantially since the last edition was written and a total rewrite of this essential guide has become necessary. The third edition has
been made more comprehensive and detailed to keep up with these changes and incorporates three new chapters: refractive surgery, contact lenses and lasers. Other new material
includes photometry, visual acuity, contrast sensitivity, colour vision, absorptive lenses, fluorescence, ultrasound, and the specular microscope.
"Clinical Diagnosis in Ophthalmology", Mosby
One of ophthalmology's most respected authors, Dr. Jack Kanski, presents a spectrum of clinical signs for each condition in this brand-new diagnostic atlas. Covers virtually every
ocular disease, with particular focus on systemic disorders to help readers diagnose a wealth of ophthalmic conditions. Discussions emphasize variations in the appearance and
evolution of disease processes...from the trivial to the severe. Uniquely organized by anatomical region, this concise, user-friendly reference is an outstanding aid to clinical
decision making. Over 2,800 full-color images, many original to Dr. Kanski's private collection and never before published, depict nearly all disease conditions encountered in
practice. Illustrations are enhanced by accompanying text—concise, bullet-pointed summaries that are ideal for easy reference. This reference also includes a CD-ROM containing all
of the images from the text, available for download into electronic presentations.
